Answer - Herbivores are plant eating
animals such as cow, goat etc. Carnivores are animal that consume animal or
animal products such as lion, tiger etc. Omnivores are those that consume both
plants and animals such as humans, rodents etc.
2. What is food and its significance?
Answer - Food is defined as edible
substance which is consumed by humans and animals to get energy needed for the
survival of the living organisms. It contains various components such as
carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins and minerals. Food is important to
provide energy needed for the different activities such as walking, running
etc. Food helps in the growth of the organisms. It is also needed for the
repair of the damaged parts of the body.
3. Explain the preparation of honey and
ghee?
Answer
- For the preparation of honey, nectar is present in the flowers. This nectar
is collected by honey bees and stored in beehives. Then the honey can be
extracted from the beehives. For the preparation of ghee, milk is obtained from
the cow. Then cream is extracted from it. Then this cream is converted into
butter and finally butter is boiled and ghee is formed.
